The SOLUS one-hand
precision instrument watch combines functional
clarity and simplicity with a perfect overview.
Thanks to its integrative form and extreme flatness,
the SOLUS is unobtrusive and elegant in
appearance. The lack of ornamental features is the
result of a conscious decision to focus only on that
which is absolutely essential: time itself.
Being a one-hand watch, the SOLUS features
only an hour hand. The hand and scale were specially
developed for this type of display, and harmonize
perfectly with one another.
The dial drew its
inspiration
from precision measurement instruments,
and thus allows the wearer to check the time at a
glance, though accurate reading of the time to the
nearest five minutes is also possible.
The hand is coated
with luminescent Superluminova,
making it easy to read even in the dark.
Extensive technical effort was employed to reduce
the thickness of the titanium case, with its eight
screws, to just 4.9 mm. The visible height of the
watch is no thicker than a one Euro coin.
All the other
components of the watch are of equally high quality – a
Swiss-made Ronda movement, vegetable-tanned calf nappa leather strap,
sapphire glass.
Like all watches from Botta-Design, the SOLUS is developed and
manufactured entirely in Germany.
