By wrapping an alpha-gel® belt around the module as well as adding a
layer underneath it and by employing aluminum washers & oiled
o-rings beneath the screw heads that secure the band to the case, the
new Aviator is now more resistant than ever to shock, vibration and
centrifugal force. The dial has been created from 4 separate layers to
achieve greater depth and a base black coloring with white and safety
orange highlights command quick attention to the dial for an easy-read
on the fly. Black stainless steel band analog watch with black face.

About Aviation Concept
Shock-resistant hand formation:
Watch hands moving at high speeds in an environment of powerful
gravitational forces are prone to lose their rotational balance due to
their own weight and break down as a result. We responded by adjusting
the weight balance of each hand based on precise calculations and
positioning the hands in optimal locations. This permits high-speed hand
movement of up to one rotation per second under powerful gravitational
forces, enabling installation of a 1/100-second stopwatch that can
withstand hand use by aviators.
Gravitational forces test:
We employ specially designed testing equipment to test durability under
an acceleration environment exceeding human endurance. Our tests
confirm the ability of Gravity Defier's 1/100-second stopwatch and other
features to function normally in a merciless environment far surpassing
the 12G attained in air racing and the 5g in F1 racing.
Independent bezel structure:
The case is fully enclosed in a forge moulding-reinforced polyhedral
metal bezel to protect the module, while a large-diameter urethane ring
is installed to safeguard the crystal. The urethane ring also plays a
role in preventing damage to cockpit equipment.
Two-directional band screws:
Strong
stainless-steel screws inserted and tightened from both sides connect
the band securely to the case. The screw heads are shaved off to permit
polished finishing.
A solar panel converts even weak illumination from fluorescent lighting
into electric power. A rechargeable battery with a large power storage
capacity supports stable operation of various functions with high
electricity consumption. You never have to worry about the battery
running down because it's a solar battery.
Casio watches with solar technology, receive thermal and electrical
energy that recharges the watch batteries through solar panels on the
face of the watch.
The combination of a solar panel with a large-capacity
rechargeable battery enables a variety of energy-hungry functions to
operate smoothly.

Continually evolving shape
Square. Round. Whatever the case shape, they will always be shock-resistant design. It's been that way since 1983.
Button guard that protects the module from direct shocks
Our case shapes are designed in such a way to make sure that the
buttons are never struck directly if the watch is dropped, no matter
what the angle.
Band shape protecting the watch back
Bands with a pre-curved shape act as a shock absorber to ensure that
the back of the watch never receives a direct shock. They also lend to a
more agronomical fit.
Intelligent Timing
GShock watches employ intelligent, LSI-based electronic technologies
to achieve unsurpassed precision and to provide a wide range of
features and functions which no conventional mechanical watch can match.
G-Shock is the ultimate tough watch. It was born
from a developer's dream of "creating a watch that never breaks."
Guided by a "Triple 10" development concept, the design teams sought a
watch with 10-meter free-fall endurance, 10-bar water resistance and a
10-year battery life.
At a time when it was commonly believed that watches were breakable
items, G-Shock's development represented a challenge to common sense.
The number of experimental prototypes built for endurance testing
reached over 200. And the structural development and parts improvement
took approximately two years. After a long, hard process of trial and
error, G-Shock was finally launched. A shock resistant structure that
overturned conventional thinking about watches was realized thorough
breakthrough thinking, including the ideas of a hollow- structured case,
all-directional protective covering and the use of cushioning material
to protect critical parts.
These were the fruits of technological development that insisted on
"toughness" and a revolution in watch design. Since its launched,
G-Shock has continued to evolve for 25 long years, carrying on the
toughness of spirit and uncompromising passion that led its developers
to persist in their unshakable belief.
